To our Valued Customers and Employees,
The past year has been a challenging experience unlike anything most of us have ever experienced in our lifetime. Fairgreen Sod Farms continues to be committed to the Health and Safety of our employees, their families, our customers and the community. In order to ensure everyone’s safety we have made considerable adjustments to our operation over the past year.
All of our deliveries are now contactless and paperless. Orders are taken over the phone or online, receipts are emailed to our customers and customers are asked to mark the spot for their deliveries and are respectfully asked to avoid talking too or approaching our drivers. Protective barriers have been installed in our office to protect our staff and customers. We are also limiting the number of people that are in our office at one time. We ask that anyone who enters our office wears a mask. If you are unable or unwilling too, we ask that you call ahead to place your order and one of our staff will be happy to load your vehicle while you wait in your vehicle.
We also continue to clean and disinfect commonly touched surfaces, have made accommodations in our office to ensure staff is able to social distance from each other.
We feel that we are able to safely and easily provide products to our customers during these unprecedented times. We can’t do this alone and truly appreciate our customers commitment to the same goal and ask for their patience and understanding as our regular business practices have changed. We feel that providing people a way to get out of their homes, enjoy the outdoors and work to improve their own properties has the ability to provide some much needed exercise and mental health.
The grass will be greener on the other side and we are trying to do our part to ensure it is.
Thank you and stay safe,
The Management and Staff at Fairgreen

This is an update to the letter issued on April 15, 2020. We are committed to the Health and Safety of our employees, their families, our customers and the community. In order to ensure everyone’s safety, we continue to make adjustments to our operations set out by COVID-19 Health and Safety guidelines.
We have further updated our policies and practices as follows:
- We are allowing customers into the office now, however, as of Friday, July 17, per the requirement of Regional Municipality of York, masks or face coverings will be required in order to enter our office. To learn more about this requirement or the exemptions that apply, click here.
- We also ask our customers to sanitize their hands upon their entry into our office and remain behind the glass barriers at the desks at all times.
- When in the outside yard, we continue to ask our customers to keep the recommended 2 meter or 6 feet social distance from our staff and other customers
Following these practices will allow us to continue to safely and easily provide our products in these unprecedented times. We truly appreciate our customers’ commitment to the same goal and are very grateful for our customers’ continued patience and understanding as we make changes to our business practices.

To our Valued Customers,
In response to the current Covid-19 Pandemic, we have made the decision to close our offices and yards in Markham and Oro-Medonte to the general public for the next 14 days. While we fully understand this may create challenges for you and/or your business, we believe it is essential for us and everyone in Ontario to do their part to slow the spread of Covid-19.
During the next two weeks our website and online store will remain open allowing you to pre order your sacks of garden soil, top soil, mulch and aggregates. As it currently stands, we are planning to start deliveries of our sacks on April 8th, but we will re-evaluate the situation once we get closer to this date.
The advantage of our sack of soil system is that our customers do not need to come into physical contact with our staff. You can place your orders online or by phone, we can email you a receipt, you tell us where you would like it placed and simply mark the spot. Our drivers will pull up, find the spot you have marked and drop off the sack. It’s that SIMPLE!!!
Sod is not normally ready to sell until the end of April. At this point we are still fertilizing our fields as we normally would at the start of any season and our expectation is to have sod available as soon as the weather permits. Once again this is an ever-changing situation and we will keep you up to date as much as possible.
Please note that during this time we will have the ability to answer your calls, check voicemail and respond to your emails. Please feel free to reach out to us at 905-640-9090 or [email protected]. You can also follow us on Twitter, Instagram and Facebook @fairgreensod for the latest updates.
Thank you for your patience and understanding in this difficult time,
The Staff and Management at Fairgreen Sod Farms
